At followenglish we believe that setting clear levels of language proficiency is essential to define realistic goals for learners. Our courses and trainings are divided into three broad levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Each of them is then further divided into sublevels.
The Basic level is for professionals and learners who need to build up a solid foundation in order to be able to move on consistently in the higher levels. The Basic level is subdivided into two other levels: Starter and Basic. During these levels course participants go through the basic structures of the language and learn essential vocabulary that will allow them to develop their skills and make them more competent users.
The Intermediate level is for professionals and learners who already have a solid foundation and are developing their fluency and language awareness. The Intermediate level is subdivided into three other levels: Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper Intermediate. In these levels course participants build up confidence in language use and become more accurate and natural-sounding.
The Advanced level is for professionals and learners who already have a good command of the language but need to reach an operational level which allows them to take an active role in their professional careers. The Advanced level is subdivided into four other levels: Basic Operational Proficiency, Intermediate Operational Proficiency, Fully Operational Proficiency and Higher Proficiency. In these levels course participants move on to higher levels of proficiency incorporating native-like features in their language use and reaching high standards in terms of autonomy and capacity to take an active and decisive role in their professional careers.
